Just a question

How come I can't possibly lose a pound in a day, but one day of licking frosting off my fingers as I decorate a cake and some pizza at the party and I've gained a whole pound?! How is that possible?!

I agree with you whole heartedly on that subject!! So easy to gain, so hard to lose...

But, we're sticking with it!

Best wishes,

If you find an answer, you could write a book and make millions!
I've been "dieting" for two months (taking on the challenge put forth by mel on the amazingshrinkingwoman.com), reducing my calories, recording everything I eat...not a pound shed!
I know in your 40s in gets a zillion times harder to lose. But I keep telling myself, I'm not gaining and I am eating healthy, establishing habits.

Paige, Bravo to you for putting it out there. It's crazy but true - success lies in the little things. Don't be discouraged by the "little" things either though!

If you get the answer - I WILL pay you for it LOL

Life just isn't fair that way is it.

I find staying motivated long enough to see results the hardest.

I was gonna post about this!! I can't seem to lose my baby weight and she's 14 months old. I had started to lose weight by doing the six week body makeover, then found out I was pregnant and had to stop. The thing that worked the best for me aside from all the hard exercise was drinking a glass of water before each meal. It helped me to feel full faster so I didn't eat a ton after my belly was full.
I think the biggest thing with me is self control. I can't seem to keep myself out of the junk, or even when we don't have junk in the house I eat what we do have all day!!

I know...you think it doesn't make a difference then all of a sudden your scale goes haywire. I am in a Biggest Loser contest with my gym and it still isn't quite enough to keep me from snitching off the boys' plates...
